PATRICK S. McCROSKEY
Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, AAML Fellow
Patrick S. McCroskey is a partner at GHMA | LAW whose practice focuses on complex financial matters arising from divorce, including equitable distribution, business interests, substantial marital estates, and spousal support. Practicing law in North Carolina since 1995 and a partner with the firm since 2000, Patrick brings decades of experience to family law matters requiring sophisticated financial analysis, strategic planning, and experienced legal judgment. He is Board Certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization since 2003 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 2009.
As a Certified Family Financial Mediator, Patrick also provides mediation services to other family law attorneys and their clients. His extensive litigation experience informs his work as a neutral, helping parties and their counsel evaluate difficult financial issues, identify opportunities for resolution, and work toward negotiated settlements. He has also contributed to the professional education of other attorneys through presentations and programs addressing substantive and procedural issues in family law.
Patrick approaches family law with an appreciation for the lasting consequences of decisions made during divorce. Clients frequently come to him at a difficult crossroads, facing financial uncertainty and choices that may shape their futures for years to come. He considers the opportunity to help clients navigate those decisions and move forward with greater stability to be among the most meaningful aspects of his profession.
